Cross Peen Engineer Hammers are drop forged high carbon steel, heat treated, quenched and tempered heads. They are also known as blacksmith hand hammers. They are available in head weights of 2, 2-1/2 and 3 pounds, with burnt lacquer finish, Grade B (or better), “Second Growth†Hickory wooden handles. These are special purpose hammers with head designed for striking or shaping soft metal.
