Diesel Fuel Hydrometer

The Kent-Moore J-38641-D Diesel Fuel Hydrometer is a tool used to determine the quality of diesel fuel. Poor quality fuel can cause drivability problems, so it is important to check the fuel quality regularly. The hydrometer is inserted into the fuel tank and draws fuel into the float chamber. The float has a direct reading API scale, which indicates the quality of the fuel. The bottom float reading is based on temperature, and the temperature scale will give a number to add or subtract to the top scale reading to compensate for temperature and give the correct API reading.
