This 15W iron uses 4 1.5V alkaline AA batteries (not included) and reaches a maximum temperature of 1050°F. Instructions:
- Insert 4 1.5V alkaline AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment.
- Turn the power switch to the "On" position.
- Allow the iron to heat up for about 7 seconds.
- Apply solder to the tip of the iron.
- Touch the hot tip to the solder joint to melt the solder.
- Once the solder has melted, remove the iron from the joint.
- Turn the power switch to the "Off" position.
Cautions:
- Use carefully. The tip is extremely hot during use. Avoid contact with hands, skin and other objects.
- Use only in well ventilated areas.
- Hot irons can cause severe burns. Do not touch the heated tip or knurled nut.
- Not a toy. Store out of the reach of children.
- Always be sure the unit is cool before storing.
- Do not replace cap without switching unit off and ensuring tip has cooled.
- Do not attempt to readjust or repair. Unit is not user serviceable.
- When replacing batteries, replace all of the batteries with the correct type.
- Do not mix new batteries with used batteries or batteries of a different type.
- Be sure to insert batteries properly (+/-).
- Be sure to remove the batteries before storing the unit.
