The heat-treated spring stands up to repeated use, and 16" and 19.2" stud center markings simplify framing jobs. The three-rivet, corrosion-resistant hook moves for accurate inside/outside measurements, and the secure blade lock won't creep during measurements. The special Tru-Zero hook does double-duty as a pivot for drawing circles and arcs.

Instructions for Use:

  • To use the tape measure, extend the blade to the desired length and lock it in place by pressing the button on the side of the housing.
  • To take a measurement, hold the hook against one end of the object and extend the blade to the other end.
  • Read the measurement from the scale on the blade.
  • To retract the blade, press the button on the side of the housing again.

Warnings:

  • Use safety goggles to protect your eyes.
  • Always be in a balanced and stable position while using hand tools.
  • Disconnect electricity when working on electrical parts.
  • Keep grease off holding surface of a tool.
  • Keep tools clean to prevent slippage and possible injury.
  • Never expose tools to excessive heat, this could alter the temper and ruin the tool.
