Wrench

Wrenches are essential tools for any automotive mechanic. They come in a variety of types, each designed for a specific purpose.

• Socket wrenches are used to loosen and tighten nuts and bolts. They consist of a handle with a socket at the end that fits over the nut or bolt. The socket is attached to the handle by a ratcheting mechanism that allows the wrench to be turned in either direction.

• Torque wrenches are used to apply a specific amount of torque to a nut or bolt. This is important to ensure that the nut or bolt is tightened to the correct specification and does not come loose.
